I’ve got a big array of ~30 hard drives in a NAS. the data that’s currently on them can be dumped and I can recreate the ZFS pool on that.

Can anyone recommend me a ZFS layout that optimizes for this circumstance, where throughput and storage efficiency is the highest priority and redundancy within a single machine is a relatively low priority (since we are making redundancy at a network level via torrents)? Currently I have them set up as a simple set of vdevs where each drive has a mirror, but I figure we can do better than 50% efficiency?
